Waterloo Train Depot OPEN House & Cemetery Walk

485 W. Van Vleek St., Waterloo, IN 46793 get directions

Working in partnership, the Friends of the Waterloo Depot and the DeKalb County Historical Society want to share with you a special OPEN House invitation.

They will be collecting stories about DeKalb County's great towns and farming life, schools, old shops, vehicles, and recipes reflecting certain eras. They are also interested in items produced in DeKalb County.  Whatever historical items or stories about DeKalb County history that you have, this is your chance to show your stuff!

Light refreshments will be served and visitors are invited to look at the historical displays throughout the train station.

At the same time as the history collection, the DeKalb County Indiana Genealogy Society is hosting a Waterloo Area Cemetery Walk at 2 PM starting at the Waterloo Cemetery and continuing on to Lutz and Ridge Cemeteries. History of many local families such as Bowman, Hanes, Kelley, Jackman and many others will be highlighted.

Presentations given by Amanda Blackman & Roselyn Wells. Please be prepared for any weather conditions or possible cancellation due to weather.
