Weekend Events & We Love Auburn Month: Feb. 8th-10th 2019
Wow! The first week of February is done and events just keep getting added to our calendar! This month is about all the things we love about Auburn and this weekend is kicking off with a couple events that are definitely worth checking out.
Here are a few of the events happening this weekend in DeKalb County
Indiana Artisans Furniture Guild
Location: Garrett Museum of Art
Date: Friday, February 8th from 6:00-8:00 pm
This show features meticulously handcrafted wood furniture as well as 2-dimensional works, such as watercolor and acrylic. The event is free to the public.
Auburn Ice Rink
Location: Downtown Auburn
Date: Saturday, February 9th and Sunday, February 10th
Join us downtown for a magical afternoon of ice skating in the heart of Auburn on Cedar Street near the intersection of 9th Street in front of City Hall. The Auburn Ice Skating was made possible by the generous sponsorship by Auburn Essential Services. Come and connect with your community for this FREE family event. Skates are provided.
Upstairs Downtown Tours
Location: Jeremiah’s
Date: Saturday, February 9th from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm
Ever wondered what was upstairs in all those downtown buildings?
See downtown Auburn like never before as several downtown spaces not normally open to the public will be available to tour as part of “Upstairs Downtown Auburn”, Upstairs Downtown Auburn is a self-guided walking tour of select properties around downtown Auburn featuring 5 unique spaces.
Tickets $10 each
Available day of the event at any tour location. Tour-goers will see spaces of all kinds, learn about their unique history and gain an understanding of the importance of downtown revitalization and preservation.

Bootlegger’s Ball
Location: Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum
Date: Saturday, February 9th from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Raise a glass to all things prohibition for an evening of dancing,
hors-d'oeuvres, access to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg
Automobile Museum, a cash bar with period themed cocktails. and
accompanying information on Auburn's History during the era.
Period dress is encouraged but not required.
